When it comes to the Disney Fairies franchise, few installments captured the imagination quite like 2012’s Secret of the Wings . While the first film introduced us to Pixie Hollow and Tinker Bell’s origins, this fourth installment took the lore to new heights—literally—by exploring the forbidden mysteries of the Winter Woods.

Once in the Winter Woods, Tinker Bell’s wings begin to glow intensely. It is there she meets Periwinkle (voiced by Lucy Hale), a Frost-Talent fairy who is just as spirited as Tink.

The conflict of the film arises when the sisters try to spend time together. Tinker Bell brings Periwinkle to the warm side using a snow-making machine to keep her cool. However, the imbalance of temperatures creates a massive freeze that threatens to destroy the Pixie Dust Tree—the source of all magic in Pixie Hollow.
