Here is where most users get confused. Epson bundles two things together, but they are not the same.
Facilitates connecting your printer to a Wi-Fi network or using Wi-Fi Direct for printing without a router.
You can print perfectly with just the core driver installed. But you need the Utility to keep your L4150 from clogging. If you download the "Full Driver Package" from Epson (usually a 60–80 MB file), you get both.
If you are ever unsure about a file, always default to the official Epson support page. It takes a few extra minutes to navigate their site, but it saves you hours of troubleshooting potential malware from third-party sites later.
