In an episode of The Simpsons, a character named Barney Gumble exclaims "Yubba lubba dub dub!" which was meant to mimic the sound of a nonsensical chant.

Rick claims that he invented the phrase himself, intended as a replacement for his previous catchphrase, "I’m tiny Rick!" (a reference to an earlier episode). He uses it at moments of triumph or when he is intoxicated, making the translation ("I am in great pain") deeply ironic. It suggests that even in Rick's moments of highest exhilaration, he is suffering.
