If you find manual editing tedious, you can download an "All-in-One" (AIO) pack like Hekate+Atmosphere bundles. These come with a pre-configured hekate_ipl.ini file. Simply drag and drop the contents of the zip file onto your SD card, overwriting when prompted. check that bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini has boot entries

When this happens, the symptom is always the same: hekate loads, but you cannot boot your CFW. These come with a pre-configured hekate_ipl
Note: The specific syntax depends on the CFW pack you are using (Atmosphere, Kosmos, etc.), but the crucial part is that there is text inside brackets [...] creating a menu option.
