Julie 2004 [updated] Today

It was the year of the blockbuster movie. Mean Girls had come out in June, and Julie and her friends had seen it three times, memorizing the lines about Kalteen bars and Army of Skanks. Later that summer, The Notebook would ruin them all emotionally in the theater, but right now, the world was just burn books and plastic sunglasses.

Seeking a fresh start, Julie moves to Mumbai and falls for Rohan (Sanjay Kapoor). Rohan eventually "trades" her to a perverted businessman named Wadhwa to secure a massive contract.
