Unlike the traditional Australian jungle, this version took celebrities to the lush but unforgiving jungles of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic .

The camp voted off Dimitris (the reformed villain) and Maria (the soap star). Both exit interviews were tearful. Maria admitted she almost quit daily but stayed for her daughter watching at home.

Dimitris , a former reality TV villain, was terrified of snakes but completed the trial in silence. Post-trial, he broke down crying. Suddenly, the “villain” became the most human person in camp.
