The standout addition to the cast is Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Playing a Saxon bishop who is as violent as he is religious, Meyers brings an entirely different energy to the show. He is intense, brooding, and oozes a strange charisma. His relationship with Lagertha creates some of the season's most surprising moments. Meyers leans into the character's contradictions (a man of God who loves slaughter), making Heahmund a fascinating foil to the pagan characters.
