The NTSC standard runs at 60 frames per second (FPS). The PAL version, historically designed for 50Hz regions, often ran slower or had different timing for hitboxes and physics. While modern emulation can force PAL games to run at 60Hz, the NTSC version is natively programmed for the standard competitive frame rate.
