Utah Patak unfolds in three distinct phases:

Unlike closed ritual dances, Utah Patak is intergenerational: children, unmarried youth, and elders participate. Gender roles are fluid but traditionally men lead the “drake” movements (sharp stomps, head bobbing), while women form a surrounding circle ( kolo ) with undulating arm gestures imitating water ripples. utah patak
