Sometimes, after waking your computer from sleep or updating drivers, you are logged in but the screen is totally black. Pressing Win + Shift + B often jolts the display back to life, saving you from a hard restart.
When you trigger this shortcut, Windows 11 performs a very specific set of actions: Your screen will go black for a fraction of a second. You will hear a short beep (if your speakers are on). The OS forces a refresh of the graphics card driver.
