If you haven't already, install the game as normal. If the installer crashes when you put the disc in:

Replace C:\\Games\\Silent Hill 4 with your actual path (use \\ ). silent hill 4 the game is not properly installed

Save as silenthill4_fix.reg (ensure extension is .reg , not .txt ). If you haven't already, install the game as normal
