The "Windows 7 USB Bootable" landscape is fragmented. While Rufus is the best general-purpose tool for the actual creation of the drive, modern hardware requires Driver Injection Tools to make the resulting installer usable. If you skip the driver injection step on a new PC, your bootable USB will be nothing more than a decorative storage stick.
