Curing is the final and most overlooked step. Concrete gains strength through a chemical reaction that requires moisture. If the patch dries out too fast, it will be weak and crackly. Cover the repair with plastic sheeting or mist it with water periodically for 24 to 48 hours. Once fully cured, apply a high-quality concrete sealer or masonry paint to protect the sill from future water intrusion.
