The title’s second half refers to a massive 96-ounce soda that George buys at a gas station. This becomes a running gag and a plot device. Sheldon calculates the diuretic effects of the soda and the time constraints it places on their journey. The suspense builds as they race against the clock (and George's bladder) to reach the viewing spot in time. They end up on the side of a rural road in the middle of nowhere.
