After a near-fatal betrayal (implied to be by his former lover, Thirteen’s master), Seven washes ashore on Chicken Island with total amnesia. Now working as a barber, he adopts scissors as his primary “weapon.” Unlike daggers, scissors are domestic, blunt-edged, and associated with care (cutting hair) rather than death. Seven’s assassination attempts always fail hilariously because he inadvertently helps his targets: fixing a broken relationship, curing a ghost’s regret, or saving a rival. His failures are not incompetence but unconscious resistance to killing.
