For MG2550s, this often clears errors and returns to out-of-box state:

Locate the Stop/Reset button (the circle with the inverted triangle). Press and hold this button for at least 5 to 10 seconds. For MG2550s, this often clears errors and returns

If the printer has a persistent error code (like the 5B00 waste ink counter error), you may need to enter Service Mode to perform a deeper system reset. Turn off the printer but keep it plugged in. Press and hold the Stop/Reset button. While holding Stop/Reset, press and hold the Power button. Keep holding Power, but release the Stop/Reset button. Press and hold this button for at least 5 to 10 seconds
