Missy, unfazed: “Sheldon was right. You’re a sinner.” Meemaw: “I’m a winner, honey. There’s a difference.” Missy: “Mom’s gonna kill you.” Meemaw: “Only if you tell her.”
Mary announces that Meemaw is coming over for dinner. She’s been acting secretive lately, and Mary suspects she’s hiding something “sinful.” Sheldon, ever literal, asks if she means actual sin (greed, envy, lust) or the colloquial “sinful” like eating an entire cake. Mary sighs.
