Visual Foxpro End Of | Life

The death warrant was signed in 2007 with the release of Visual Studio 2008. While Microsoft touted LINQ and Entity Framework, the FoxPro team was conspicuously absent. The final version, VFP 9.0 (released 2004), was already showing its age: no native 64-bit support, a grid control that predated Windows XP’s theming, and a threading model that required hacky workarounds for background processing.
