As the protagonist gets to know the waifus, they realize that the town is facing a crisis - a mysterious force known as the "Harem Syndrome" has begun to affect the waifus, causing them to become increasingly obsessed with the protagonist. The waifus start to exhibit strange behaviors, such as competing with each other for the protagonist's attention, and even sabotaging each other's efforts to get closer to the protagonist.
