The climax occurs when Jane finally decides to tell Grayson the truth—that she is Deb. She writes him a letter explaining everything. However, before she can give it to him or he can read it, Grayson is rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgery due to a brain aneurysm. The season ends on a massive cliffhanger with Grayson unconscious on the operating table, leaving his fate—and the fate of Jane's secret—unknown.
