The film begins in Dublin, Ireland, following the lives of Rosie and Alex, who have been inseparable since the age of five. As they approach their 18th birthdays, they both face significant life decisions. Alex plans to study medicine at Harvard, and Rosie intends to join him in Boston to study hotel management.
