Ib In Iz
Why would a state place IBs in an IZ? The answer lies not in targeting, but in positioning and plausible deniability .
Isolation Zones, by their nature, suffer from degraded intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) coverage. Satellites can be blinded or re-tasked; drones can be jammed. A mobile IB launcher (TEL) hidden within the rugged terrain of an IZ—perhaps in a region like the Donbas or the Golan Heights—enjoys a cloak of operational opacity. The adversary knows the missiles are somewhere in the zone, but not precisely where. This uncertainty is a weapon in itself, forcing an enemy to disperse their counter-force assets. ib in iz
