This report analyzes the current state, technical specifications, and usability of (Bangla script fonts originating from or optimized for Bangladesh). With the digital transformation of public services, e-governance, and mobile communications in Bangladesh, standardized Unicode-compliant Bangla fonts have become critical. The findings indicate a transition from legacy ASCII/ANSI-based fonts (e.g., Bijoy, SutonnyMJ) to Unicode-compliant OpenType fonts (e.g., SolaimanLipi, Kalpurush, Siyam Rupali). However, fragmentation persists across different operating systems and web platforms.
