Technically, Illustrator CC offers a more robust and efficient performance engine than its CS predecessors. The introduction of the Mercury Performance System allowed the software to utilize more RAM and 64-bit processing power, resulting in faster rendering of complex files. CC also introduced "Creative Cloud Libraries," which allow designers to sync assets like colors, character styles, and graphics across multiple devices and other Adobe applications like Photoshop and InDesign. This level of cross-platform connectivity was non-existent in the CS era, where file sharing required manual transfers.
