Minimal Criteria - For Anterior Infarct Are No Longer Present !exclusive!

In a patient with ongoing chest pain, a normalizing ECG can be a sign of a "false negative" window. The absence of findings should never override the clinical presentation. If a patient is symptomatic, serial troponins and continuous monitoring are mandatory, regardless of ECG normalization.

In the days following an MI, Q-waves may develop in leads where the infarct occurred. If the initial criteria were based on ST elevation but later Q-waves form without persistent ST elevation, the diagnosis might shift from acute to a past MI. minimal criteria for anterior infarct are no longer present
