The primary danger of the Water Prison is oxygen deprivation. Once caught, the victim is completely submerged. Unlike a standard drowning scenario, the density of the water and the pressure of the chakra make it difficult for the victim to even struggle. Furthermore, the Jutsu allows the user to maintain contact with the sphere, often keeping one hand submerged inside to sustain the structure. This creates a high-stakes standoff where the user is anchored to the prison, but the victim is on a very short clock.
The enemy was a tall man clad in mist-ninja attire, though he wore no headband. He carried no sword, no kunai. He simply stood there, his hands hanging loose at his sides.
