The F5 BIG-IP iSeries is the flagship hardware platform for F5’s application delivery and security portfolio, succeeding the long-standing VIPRION chassis-based systems and complementing the rSeries (which focuses on hyper-scalable, containerized architectures). The iSeries is designed to deliver for enterprise data centers, service providers, and large cloud infrastructures. It uniquely combines programmability, massive SSL/TLS offload capacity, and F5’s TurboFlex technology, allowing hardware-level reconfiguration for different use cases (e.g., high security vs. high throughput).
