By 2012, the release group (famous for TV rips) and CTU began moving away from VODRips. The reason was simple: Web-DLs (direct downloads from iTunes/Netflix without re-encoding) became available. A WEB-DL was a 1:1 copy of the streaming file, untouched by capture cards.
