October 1, 2007 Summary: Sara receives a phone call from Michael inside Sona. Lincoln meets with Susan B. Anthony (the Company’s operative, later revealed as Gretchen). Michael starts mapping escape routes.

November 5, 2007 Summary: Michael stages a fight to photograph Sona’s courtyard at a specific time. He discovers the escape route requires going through the guards’ watchtower. Mahone relapses into drug use.

The third season is notably shorter than the standard 22-episode format seen in Seasons 1, 2, and 4. This reduction was a direct result of the , which halted production midway through the season. Because of the strike, the show’s producers had to scrap an entire planned narrative arc that would have filled the remaining nine episodes.
